  1. GET TO WHEREVER STATE YOU ARE BEING POSTED TO ON TIME AND DO YOUR NECESSARY REGISTRATION.
  2. MAKE SURE THAT  BY THE FIRST WEEK YOU HAVE DONE YOUR NECESSARY REGISTRATION.
  3. GO ONLINE TO LOOK FOR FIRMS THAT ARE IN LINE WITH YOUR COURSE OF STUDY IN ORDER FOR  YOU TO GAIN EXPERIENCE WITH THEM DURING YOUR YEAR OF SERVICE AND YOU COULD ALSO BE RETAINED BY THEM. I MEAN FIRMS IN THE STATE YOU WERE POSTED TO.
  4. WRITE OUT A LIST OF ABOUT 5 FIRMS YOU WOULD LIKE TO SERVE WITH AFTER DOING THE NECESSARY RESEARCH ONLINE.
  5. GET A VERY GOOD DAY AND COLLECT AN EXIT CARD FROM THE CAMP INSTRUCTORS.
  6. VISIT THIS FIRMS ONE AFTER THE OTHER REQUESTING TO SERVE WITH THEM.

NYSC EXPLAINS REASONS FOR PRINTING OF CALL UP LETTER.

LATEST educational news reaching our news desk today, is that the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Management board has come out to defends the online registration it introduced for the mobilisation of corps members, which according to them, is for the “good” of the Nigeria corps Members. Like Most corps members are aware of, the introduction of the online registration is for the betterment of corps members, and one main use of the online registration, is that it’s also meant to eradicate the same problem faced year by year by graduates, which they normally pass through in obtaining call-up letters from their academic institutions. According to the information relay by the board’s spokesperson, Mrs. Olubunmi Aderibigbe, who in a statement on Monday, disclose that this initiative was also made to save potential corps members from untimely death that could be occasioned by the security challenges in some states in Nigeria. Mrs. Olubunmi Aderibigbe also went on to say that the process would prevent the forgery of call up letters by some scamming bodies. Mrs. Olubunmi Aderibigbe also said and we quote: “The attention of the board of the NYSC has been drawn to some reports which suggest a misunderstanding of the online registration for the mobilisation of corps members and the main reason behind this new development. The truth is that the whole idea is not only noble but is indeed designed in the best interest of the corps members, to save them from stress, scammers and most importantly, save their lives from issues like incident, etc. “Given the security challenge in some states of the federation and the observed cumbersome process of collection of call-up letters in most academic Institutions here in Nigeria, the idea was conceived to remove all impediments that make the mobilisation process a nightmare for the graduates. We saw no need why any graduate should have to travel hundreds of kilometres with all the associated risks, just to collect his or her call-up letter before going to camp, she further stated. The truth is that by registering online, the idea that any unscrupulous and stealing educational official could make the process of collection of call-up letter difficult for corps members will also be eliminated finally from the educational system here in Nigeria.
